We've just finished watching the last season of The Sopranos on DVD (about five years late). I think it says a lot about our life in recent months that we've been watch it to relax - mindless violence and random acts of thuggery aren't usually my choice of relaxing wind-down viewing. I watched most of the last episode from behind a cushion, fearful of what was going to happen next. Pity you can't go through real life in the same way, isn't it? Now, what box set should we turn to next? And will it have as great a theme tune as this one?

this is such a good show
ReplyDeleteI loved boxed sets. I just finished Dexter. Loved it. Also loved Madmen and Friday Night Lights. And then there's always Nurse Jackie.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anything beats the Sopranos theme song does it?
ReplyDeletean easy recommendation for your next box set is the classic english sit-com 'The Good Life' filmed in the late 70's it follows a couple as they give up the 9-5 and become small holders, in their suburban back garden. Its completely brilliant...and probably as different to the Sopranos as you could get, but still totally excellent. go on, have a laugh.
ReplyDeletelove abi from adventures in cake
Hi! You've probably already watched it but just in case, The Wire is excellent. Like The Sopranos it can be a harrowing watch (and was frequently in my dreams), but I'd still recommend it highly.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, has Journey ever been better used than in the finale?!
