The glass jars are half empty

It's not much, I know, but I wanted to show you the extent of my Christmas preparations as they stand so far. I went to the supermarket this morning too, but you can shoot me if I ever try to document that (no offence to the people who do).

It might not look like much but I find scraping the bits of glue and old label off jars to be one of the most tedious tasks of all time. Now it's done though - well, for this batch, anyway - I can't wait to get started.

How are your Christmas makings and bakings coming along? Any progress? Lots of inspiration can be found here. Pin It

  1. I haven't started any type of baking or shopping. I always wait to the last minute. Good for you, every little bit helps.

  5. Ugggh - I have a bunch of jars with all the sticky bits still on and I just can't get the motivation to sort them. You have done the hard part!
I have made two batches of chutney but I put them in bought jars and I am not going to allow myself to buy any more. I need to get scrubbing!
Yours looks a lovely collection of jars - the square ones especially.

  6. Argh I wrote a reply and then Blogger lost it! Anyway I was trying to tell you about some fantastic sticky stuff remover stuff that Lakeland sell. Works perfectly on jam jars.

  8. Jammy bugger! look at your collection of glass jars, all eclectic and looking very chic! I'm under orders to recycle all our glass jars as we no longer have space to store them ;0(
    Happy Christmas prep though ;0)

Hello - thanks for stopping by. If this was real life I'd make you a cup of tea and open the biscuit tin, but in lieu of those things, let's have a chat anyway...
